Creator of the Wise Walrus logo

Where do you live?

I live in a lovely city called Rosario in Argentina where I also trained in Graphic Design and Illustration. I work from my bright and cheerful little studio, full of brushes, pencils, colour papers, and even toys from my childhood. I start my day early and listen to music while I work, with my dog keeping me company.

What inspired your illustration for the Wise Walrus logo?

I had a great time designing the logo. I drew my inspiration by imagining a walrus as a venerable intellectual aristocrat with small eyes, serene expression, and particularly an exaggerated version of the animal’s whiskers. These are magnificent animals and giving Wise Walrus a particularly impressive moustache was essential (and it made me chuckle).

What role does humour play in your work?

I believe making someone smile is one of the loveliest things in the world and I always keep that in mind when creating a character.
